ed here with the digital digest and today i wanted to share a quick unboxing and first look at the mobvoid ticwatch pro 3 ultra gps android wearable now this retails for roughly 299 us dollars i’ll include a link in the description and in full disclosure this was furnished to me by the manufacturer for review purposes with that out of the way let’s go ahead and get rid of this plastic and for those of you wondering what makes this watch unique i will be going through the majority of the specifications and features but i think the most compelling thing since it really has just about every feature you could possibly want from an android wearable is the fact that it is slated to get wear os 3 one of the few devices on the market in fact so taking a look at the box uh you will see it has a qualcomm snapdragon where 4100 platform cpu but then mobvoi has also thrown in yet another uh processor so there are actually two cpus in this device making it one of the most powerful on the market uh military standard grade there up to 72 hours of battery in smart mode and 45 days in essential mode you heard right and that’s in large part due to the fact that it has two displays uh which makes it pretty interesting especially since now they’ve added uh backlighting to that you know top layer display which is all about saving
battery life 20 different professional workout modes so if that’s a core focus of what you look to get out of your wearable mob voice got your back here ip68 water resistance don’t get this wet with salt water but anything else you should be fine of course built in google assistant ihb and afib detection built-in gps after all it’s in the name right and that’s yet another bragging right of this device the dual display that i was talking about uh with the customized color uh backlighting system which is a brand new edition uh the high density heart rate stress and sleep tracking so they’re trying to be as dynamic as possible google play or excuse me pay of course there’s play and then over a thousand watch faces in uh the play store so let’s go ahead and get this out of the package 41 grams a combination of i believe stainless steel and other materials bring it together and the amoled display that you’re looking at right now or the primary display is an amoled that is i’m expecting to be quite nice it’s 1.4 inches and the resolution is fairly decent at 454 by 454. You know 326 ppi i don’t think you can really complain about that one gig of ram 8 gigs of internal storage uh of course bluetooth 5.0 uh wi-fi 802.11 bgn connectivity uh the gps i think it connects up to uh five uh satellites in total it’s either four or five so quite a dynamic speaker microphone performance is supposed to be quite good you’ve got a barometer of course uh sensors accelerometer gyro sensor i
mean this has just about everything going for it the battery capacity for those of you that are wondering is 577 milliamp hours so it’s it’s really an impressive uh feature set i think for this watch a rubber band this is shadow black you can go with an lte version that’ll set you back a few more dollars but if like me you don’t want to drop a sim card in a watch then this is probably going to be your best bet now i can tell you build quality seems nice to me yes we do have a plastic or a polycarbonate back here but still i don’t think it really detracts from the overall look and feel of the device it’s just a nice looking watch let me see if we can power this on also of course you can remove these bands it looks like fairly easily with that uh pin mechanism right there which hopefully is in frame or i should say in focus and also it does have a proprietary charger that i’ll show you in a moment let’s see if this thing powers on and it should i believe it it will have a charge now the dual display that i’ve been talking about which makes it really unique is that we have essentially an e-ink display for battery life purposes so if you’re not looking to take full advantage of that amoled and you really want to maximize the battery life you can do that and what they’ve added as mentioned on the packaging is a you know selectable color for backlighting as well so i believe on the previous generation they had this dual display tech but no back lighting which made it somewhat unusable now on the other hand you don’t have that issue anymore so should be pretty nice and because this is getting wear os3 and it has such competent hardware this really should deliver a best-in-class experience we’ll get back to that let’s take a look at the included charger again it is
proprietary essentially like a pogo system type a usb so this is just going to pop onto here and actually i kind of like this because you know when companies go for docking systems things like that they can be a pain in the butt i mean to have to take around a dock of a sort sometimes it’s acceptable sometimes it’s not this i think is a much smarter method keeps it clean and i like that it’s magnetic uh you know it just seems nice we’ll see what the actual charge time is like but so far like what i see last but not least besides that silica gel is product safety information and that’s pretty much it so that covers everything that’s in there outside of the actual quick start guide and again they’re showing off that you can go with that 4g model as opposed to the the gps ultra model that we’re looking at now and it’s just one of those things where if you’re looking for a really dynamic wearable here in 2022 this may well be the winner um you know in terms of its size i don’t think i’m going to go ahead and throw it on my wrist it’s fairly large but i wouldn’t have a problem wearing it and i don’t have very large wrists so that should be telling of course if you’re looking for a smaller uh watch they’re out there you know even ticwatch makes them go ahead and peel this back but what’s really nice is that this should give us performance unlike just about anything else in its class so i’m excited to share this with all of you spend time with it see how it performs go ahead and select english there and i’m going to get it set up and i will come back obviously i’m going to have to give it permission to essentially do everything except you know well you fill in the blank and once i do that this is going to
become you know a functional part of my daily routine if mobvoid really hit it out of the park with it other things i want to mention i mean i think really the biggest takeaway here is that you’re not going to find a watch with these features this sort of capability at this price point and again wear os 3 coming to it i mean even some of the most expensive android wear devices on the market here in 2022 do not have wear os 3 coming to them so tick watch aka mobvoid the manufacturer really very aware of what they have to do to be successful here and that’s why they’ve made a splash this has been on the market for several months and once it gets wear os 3 it’s only going to get better at least it should so like what i see here you know down the road i may opt to swap out this band there’s nothing wrong with it it’s definitely more geared towards working out which isn’t a bad thing considering all of the elements it takes into account when it comes to sleep patterns as well stress management overall health it really tries to do it all and we’ll see how accurate the heart rate function is i think that’s one of the most important it also does um your oxygen levels so it really you know it’s trying to basically take out all of the competition and i think with the dual processor system dual display system and that battery life i mean that to me is one of the biggest appeals if it really is accurate in terms of being able to pull out that battery life i mean up to 45 days of course you’re going to be limited in terms of what it’s actually doing that’s going to be incredibly compelling any questions or comments again about the ticwatch pro 3 ultra gps and of course it’s nice to have the gps capability on something that doesn’t have an lte connection always good to have for tracking your workouts your walks and just general location please feel free to post them hit that like button and as usual please feel free to subscribe and please stay safe later
